Selma Blair is going to have a baby, People magazine reported. The actress just joined other celebrities who are expecting, and there are quite many stars that recently shared such happy news. However, the news about Selma Blair’s pregnancy broke on Thursday and it has been confirmed by the star’s rep.
Selma Blair’s rep said that the 38 years old actress and her fashion designer boyfriend, Jason Bleick, are going to be parents. And as a source said, the two are extremely excited with this news, actually being “ecstatic.” “They are ecstatic. They couldn’t be happier,” the source told People. However, according to Star magazine the pregnancy wasn’t something planned, and Selma and her fashion designer boyfriend have no plans to wed, anyway, not yet. But, other reports claim that the couple may actually be engaged by now. The two have been a couple for about a year. Selma Blair and Jason Bleick met while working together on the EVER fashion line, at which Jason actually is the creative director and also the company founder.
Still, the actress has been married before, to musician Frank Zappa’s son Ahmet. The two wed in 2004, but separated after about two years of marriage, in 2006. But, although reports indicate that Selma Blair is pregnant and really happy to share the news, there is no word on when the baby if due, so no details regarding the pregnancy were available now.
Selma Blair is a well known actress, being popular for both her television roles, such as the one in “Kath & Kim,” but also for her acting projects that included the 1999 drama “Cruel Intentions,” in which she starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe, but also her “Hellboy 2.” Now she is working at different other movie projects, including “Dark Horse” and “Different Kind of Love.” The actress was nominated for a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for the audio book, the credit coming in appreciation to her “Anne Frank: The Diary Of A Young Girl: The Definitive Edition.”
Other stars to announce their pregnancy this week include Victoria Beckham, who recently made the happy announcement that she and David will welcome their fourth child together, Jewel and Marion Cotillard, who also broke the pregnancy news earlier this week, and of course, famous actress Kate Hudson, who is actually 14 weeks along now, as reports claim that her seven years old son, from a previous marriage, will have a sibling.
