Brisben has stated that in the majority of the cases the women she instructs are teenagers, but there are also cases when the women who participate to these parties are in their 40s or 50s. She stated that it is a huge concern, as the women of this age should be more familiar with their bodies. Numerous sexual health researchers have stated that there are many adults who need to be educated from this point of view, as their knowledge in this domain is very limited. Bill Taverner, director of The Center for Family Life Education at Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey, held a gathering at which the main topic was sexuality. The room was filled with people of advanced ages who have stated that they came to the gathering as they wanted to find out more about the topic. It seems that the majority of them were not experts in the domain. It has been discovered that the sex education in the United States of America is not as widespread as it was believed. Even in the cases when it is taught, the message of these classes strictly refers to AIDS and other sexual transmitted diseases.

The parties are aimed at the women. They learn more about the way in which their bodies work, and they can even purchase certain items related to this subjects. The Tupperware parties involved the plastic casings where food could be stored, but the items displayed at these parties are different. They are represented by vibrators, lubricants, and even items for the men. You could say that these gatherings are intended strictly for business purposes only, but Brisben states that there is more to these parties than the process of selling things. She has stated that she is helping these women to know more things about a very important subject. The topics covered in these gatherings are very vast, and they include relationships advices, sexual arousal, STDs, and so on.

They are similar to the ones taught in school, only that they include advices about relationships and about sexual activities. She said that the women can ask questions, and that she will answer their questions. And according to her, she receives lots of them, which proves that the knowledge about sexuality is pretty low. She is not the only one who teaches these types of courses to the elder people. There are numerous other sex experts who teach these people about various such topics. They usually gather at places which are frequently visited by the elders, such as the churches, retirements centers, and so on. However, the biggest difference is the fact that these meetings usually cover the topic of bodily changes which take place because of the advancement in age. Peggy Brick, a sex educator, is one of the people who help the elder people understand more about their bodies. She said that they should be aware of the changes which they will go through, and that the majority of them have no idea about the things which they will experience when they will get older. For example the majority of the men will try to solve their sexual problems with pills, when they could be solved in other means.

She said that the most important thing is to teach these people that the sexual act will be different when they reach a certain age. The majority of the people do not know this, and they end up getting frustrated and disappointed. She said that in the majority of the cases the men are the ones who end up disappointed. For example, the majority of them have no idea about the refractory period, which is represented by the time they need after an orgasm in order to be able to orgasm again.
