Sneijder Suffers From Anaemia
Inter Milano playmaker Wesley Sneijder suffers from anaemia, according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf which spoke to the 26-year-old. Inter’s star said he first felt unwell just five minutes before the half time against Brescia in a Serie A game at the weekend. Sneijder admitted he has never experienced such feeling before, the Dutch revealing in the same time that he felt pain in every part of the body. Furthermore, during the break he passed out and after he was controlled his blood, Sneijder was taken to a clinic in Holland for further tests.
Sneijder explained the incident: “Five minutes before the end of the first half I started shaking and felt pain in all my body, it was something I had never experienced before. After when I went into the dressing room I passed out and I was very scared. They controlled my blood pressure and heart rate immediately and then I went to Holland for further tests,” adding that the conclusions were that he is anaemic, his whole body feeling tired. Plenty of rest is what he needs now. The midfielder, who joined Inter Milano last year with which he claimed the UEFA Champions League under Jose Mourinho era after departing from Real Madrid, Portuguese’s current club will come back to Italy these days, the Spanish manager needing him for Sunday’s clash against Rossoneri. Rafa Benitez chose not to take Sneijder to Lecce on Wednesday in the next game, but is expected to make the return on Sunday when all the eyes will be on the Italian derby between Inter and AC Milan. Wesley didn’t score any goal so far in the Serie A, while Samuel Eto’o scored the most goals for Rafa Benitez side, the Cameroonian leading also the top-scorer table with eight goals.
The news follows the one at the beginning of the week in which Chelsea’s star Didier Drogba was announced that suffers from maladia, according to the Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti. Although they don’t know when the disease has been contacted, the West-Londoners expect the Ivorian striker to be treated as soon as possible. The boss added in the same time that Drogba is already taking pills that will make him fit for the next days. Chelsea lead the Premiership table with 25 points as Didier Drogba, who won the top-scorer award last season, scored already six goals for the Blues, the table being led by team-mate Florent Malouda, Manchester City Carlos Tevez and Newcastle Untied’s Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan, all of the with seven goals.11
