Syria says that US Advice in Lebanon Problem is Called Interference

Thursday the king of Saudi Arabia arrived in Damascus to meet with President Bashar Al-Assad, to talk and come to a conclusion about the delicate matter of the assassination of Prime Minister of Lebanon Rafiq Hariri by the Hezbollah. The leader of the Muslim group Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah denied in different television appearances that they were involved in this matter and that they will not accept any blames for a crime that they haven’t done. He also said that he and his organization will fight against this alleged accusations. The statement of the leader of Hezbollah managed to create fear of a confrontation between Sunnis and Shiites in Lebanon that can take the country into a civil war like in 2008.
The Assistant Secretary of State of the United States, Philip Crowley said Wednesday that a more positive and cold appearance would help Syria to release the tensions.
“Syria should distance itself from Iran and listen attentively to what the Saudi King would tell him,” said the Assistant Secretary of State to the reporters.
As a response to the statement that Crowley issued, the Syrian government declared on Thursday that the advice that the US gave them was nothing but “interference” and there is no one who knows better how to solve the difference between to countries other than the two involved.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses astonishment over the statement of the U.S. spokesman. It is not Washington‘s duty, and it has no right, to determine our relationship with the regional countries and interfere in the content of the Saudi King’s talks during his visit to Damascus,” said the representative of the Syrian government.
“Syria and Saudi Arabia are independent states which belong to this region and know better than any the interests of the people of this region, (and) how they should work to achieve these interests away from any external interference,” also declared the Syrian representative.
Nasrallah the leader of Hezbollah who fought with Israel for a month in 2006, interprets the accusations that he faces as a plan of Israel to weaken Lebanon.

In the case of the assassination of the Prime Minister Hariri, a part of the witnesses backed down and from the lack of evidence four generals were released last year.
The government of Lebanon is not in a position to arrest somebody, because the national army is weaker then Hezbollah and the organization headed by Nasrallah didn’t hand any suspects and nobody thinks that they will.
As the UN investigators said, Hariri supporters maintained the Syrian elements in the regime, a regime which controlled the Lebanese people by than and they consider that Hariri’s men killed him.
The international echo and the anti-Syrian manifestations made the UN to establish a court of law and they forced the troops of Syria that were station in Lebanon to withdraw in less then 30 days.
The Saudi Arabia had good connections with Hariri and still holds big influence over his son, Saad Hariri, the actual Prime Minister of Lebanon.
The diplomatic relations between Lebanon and Syria were improving since 2008 when for the first time the Prime Minister Hariri made four trips to Syria in eight months and established the base of the diplomatic connection.
“The most immediate question concerns the possibility of another Israel-Hezbollah war, fears of which have mounted throughout this year, fueled by reports of new missile transfers to Hezbollah and intermittent threats from Israel,” says a Middle East expert from Beirut, Paul Salemm.
“Those who foresee war argue that Israel is unwilling to tolerate a heavily-armed Iranian proxy on its border while tensions with Iran over the nuclear issue remain unresolved,” also stated Salemm.
Is this a masked incident in favor of the Hezbollah organization to declare war on Israel?
