The Case Of The Missing Girl In Tennessee

Holly Bobo, 20 years old, was kidnapped on Wednesday by a man who was wearing camouflage clothes

The search in the case of the Tennessee girl who was abducted in front of her family a couple of days ago continues.

The police have stated that they have found some items belonging to Holly Bobo, the girl who was kidnapped. From what it seems, what the police has found is a lunchbox, which was located in a creek at about 8 miles from her home. Furthermore, it seems that the report which stated that police officers also found the camouflage clothes the man who kidnapped her was wearing and the girl’s cell phone in a car around the area was fake, according to Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent John Mehr.

The 20 year old nursing student was last seen on Wednesday morning when she was seen by her brother being taken into the woods by a man wearing camouflage clothes. According to the TBI, the 25 year old brother thought that the man was Holly’s boyfriend so he did not think much about what was happening. Only when he went outside and saw blood, did he realize that his sister had been kidnapped and he called 911. The TBI said that the boyfriend and the brother of the girl are not suspects in the case. “The boyfriend is not a suspect. The brother is not a suspect,” Mehr said. “We are confident of that.”

The blood which was found in front of Bobo’s house is not being inspected in order to find out whether it belongs to the young woman or not. In what concerns the suspects, TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm said that they had no leads yet into discovering the man who kidnapped Holly, but that they were on to it. Thus, dozens of law enforcement officers and people from the neighborhood, along with relatives and friends, have started looking for Holly, but they have not found anything yet, but the lunchbox. The search continues and everybody is praying for Holly to be safe and sound. Furthermore, the father of the young woman, Dana Bobo, has asked people for her publicly and he also stated that he thought that the kidnapped might be someone who is close to the family. Given that the man knew to come and drag the girl into the woods exactly when she was getting ready to go to school, made the father think that this man who took her away from them might be very familiar to the family’s routine.

Everybody is looking for Holly right now and the family’s pastor, Don Franks, stated that they have been giving sermons and that the entire community is praying for Holly to return back home safe and sound. On Thursday, there were more than 400 people looking for the 20 year old Holly Bobo, alongside with sniffing dogs and a helicopter, which was overflying the area, in order to find some leads which would help police officers catch the man who kidnapped the girl and bring her back home.11

Ok so let me get this straight…her brother saw this so called man in camoflauge DRAG her into the forest but thought he was maybe just her boyfriend until he saw blood outside of the house? sounds like B>S> to me..maybe he did it?

Dear Bea, according to police reports, the brother and the boyfriend of the girl are not suspected to be involved in her kidnapping. There’s sure going to be some more news on the case and we’ll sure find out what really happened that morning. Thanks so much for taking interest in the article. Have a great day and be safe!

Did they post this wrong or did I just read the blood found was not going to be examined. This all stinks of bumbling investigation or sorry news reporting. Also the brother is not telling the truth. My 13 year old son would go after someone trying to take his 15 year old sister. May who ever done this not be spared with a cushy jail sentence. It’s time to start really enforcing the law, Mr. Law Enforcers! There are GREAT Detectives in this world I am sure, and I pray there is at least ONE on this case.
Sorry for being so harsh, but everyone feeling what I do about this case needs to speak up. Put whom ever’s feet to the fire to get questions answered and every law enforcement officer to do their jobs.
My prayers our sent to the Bobo family and may this end quickly with the return of their precious daughter.

Dear Elias, the thing with the blood was a mistake. The blood was going to be examined. I appologize for this one. In what concerns Holly’s brother, there’s nothing to hint that he may be involved, according to what the police reports show until now. Still, they are still investigating the case and hopefully, they’ll find some new clues to lead them to whoever did this. Thanks for taking interest in the article. There’s going to be some more news on the case. Sorry again for the innocent mistake.

Im sorry but the story of watching a man take her in the woods is fishy…If someone were trying 2 take me I would be kicking screaming, and raising all. sorts of noise… I cannot believe she was just led in the woods like a deaf mute. It doesnt sound right. If the brother say her u would think he would have yelled where ya going? or something. The brother is very much a suspect I would think.

Dear Alice, first of all, thanks for taking interest in the subject. Then, if the brother had something to do with her kidnapping, I’m sure the police will do something about it. However, as I said above, there are no evidence to incriminate him yet. Who knows, maybe he did have something to do with his sister getting dragged into the woods like that. More news on the subject, later today! Be well.

Just because the police say the brother is not a suspect doesn’t mean that he isn’t. They tend to keep thier suspicions close to the vest this early on in an investigation. I agree that the brother’s story sounds very fishy. Even if he thought the man was his sister’s boyfriend, what brother would allow her boyfriend to drag her into the woods? He would go after them. I know my son wouldn’t watch my daughter’s boyfriend treat her that way without trying to stop him. Also, and this is just my own uneducated observation which is most likely wrong, when I saw her parents appealing for her return on the news, her mother looked like her crying and carrying on was totally fake. There weren’t even any tears in her eyes. I’m just sayin’. I hope they find that poor girl soon.

Let me see! the brother sees his siter being dragged into the woods by a person in camouflaged clothing, why did he not persue that person, and yelled for help? hhaps a just stood there and watched his sister being abducted, and if the mother was also there, what kind of a mother is she, I would have been screaming and yelling for help, and run after the abuducter. sound fishy to me, someone tried to kidnapped my sister in front of me, I would not hesitate to run after them and try to get the direction in which he was going, perhaps a car waiting for them, who knows it could have been more than one person and someone waiting in a car or van and drove off with her,
I just hope she is still live!! God Bless Her!!!

Sounds like someone close to her family who lied about someone else being hurt or something in the woods. And since she was a nursing student the person probaly felt that would get her far enough away from to the house to take her. I’m in Texas so im not really up to speed on this story just what i have read in this article.

  9. lea says:

This is a poorly written article. The author needs to re-read this article for dicsrepancies and confusing
sentences. Alot of which don’t make any sense.

  10. YellowroseOtejas says:

The author needs to finish grade school!! I mean, WOW! Que the banjos! Must be in “Easy Tennessee”, just sayin’! I know of some (one, anyway) VERY shady people there. Very sad. I pray she is safe.

  11. Rylan says:

The boy did not see his sister being drug into the woods. He glanced out the window and seen his sister talking to a man and just assumed it was her boyfriend.

  12. Ranae Jackson says:

I haven’t seen or heard anything about this case since it happened! Any news, Updates?? my heart goes out to this family….may god be with them.

  13. pauline cliff says:

i feel that this should not be hush hush this story needs to be made more active and someone may see or remember something the more news let out the better.its obviously some one close to her community to know her activities.

  14. Donna Dyles says:

My heart still goes out to this girl and her family. I called 3-4 different numbers to help with the intial search, (bringing one of my horses out), only to discover that LE was overwhelmed with volunteer efforts and it was difficult for them to manage. My thoughts are that they jumped on I-40 and raced to Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta or wherever.
