The Clean 15: Foods You Don’t Have to Buy Organic
Buying organic food makes sense when you care about your health, about the environment, the local farmers that struggle to keep the taste intact and groceries greener. But this doesn’t mean you have to become an eco maniac who won’t come even closer than 200 yards from a normal supermarket that sells soft drinks and barbeque meat among the greens. There are several foods you can continue pay for in the “processed” way or, better called, in their non-organic way.
Why? Because it’s cheaper and we all know economies are good in these times and because they don’t threaten our health in any way just by keeping buying them from regular stores or markets.
1. Onions are bug resistent so you won’t see many pesticides on them; store them in cool places or keep them in your fridge and you can benefit from them the entire winter.

3. Sweet corn might require a lot of sweat to cultivate it and a lot of pests to keep the insects away from the crop, but it’s unlikely for this pests to interreact with our bodies. The only thing you have to worry about when it comes to corn is that you have to buy it fresh, from local stores or farms and enjoy it in the same day, boiled, salted, sweet or whatever.
