Google is permanently working to improve the services provided by the company, so that the customers to be always satisfied and to continue to use them in their daily life. Recently, Google has released two important features, called Priority Inbox and call phones from Gmail.

With these two new services, the users will save a lot of time and because both of them are very powerful, they will work fast and easy in order to bring some benefits in one’s life. On the other hand, Google has added some new tools on the spreadsheets, and the managers of Google Apps are very happy to know that many businesses and schools are now using Google Apps in their activities.

Since Gmail first appeared on the market, the engineers worked to permanently improve the service by adding a large storage space, a faster search and an efficient spam filter. Because Priority Inbox is a very new service from Gmail, the users will find it very useful, especially for those who receive a large amount of messages. The fact is that by using this tool, they will automatically have all the emails sorted according to their importance and priority in reading them.

The specialists say that this feature is very efficient and it gets better with every time the user signs in his Gmail account, and the most recent research analysis reveals that a person can save up to a whole week in a year, time spent so far only by deleting the unimportant messages or the read ones.

Another new service recently released by Google and Gmail is the possibility of calling a phone right from the Gmail account. This feature is available for now just for the U.S. users, and if you have a Google Voice account you can even receive a call to your Google Voice number by mean of the same email service.

The good news is that the call phones from Gmail are free of costs for U.S. and Canada, at least until the end of 2010. For the rest of the countries the costs start from two cents per minute. Even if the feature is not yet available for the customers of Google Apps, Google Voice and the call phones from Gmail will be soon available with some improvements for the Google Apps accounts.

Even the Google Calendar has received some improvements regarding the schedule, because the engineers have worked and applied a new interface, which is designed to help the user to find the right time for one of his events, even taking into account the schedules of other people, friends or colleagues.

Another tool added last week on the spreadsheets is the In-cell drop-down with validation, which is helping the user to set the cells in order to display a menu of accepted values. The fact is that the user can ask a cell to select a value from a specific list, and if you want to use this tool all you have to do is to select it by clicking on the “Show all formulas” button from the formula bar, and them selecting the same formula in the View menu or just by clicking on Ctrl.11
