The Man Who Wanted To Kill Obama Apprehended and Presented to Judges

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez

A man was charged on Thursday by a Pittsburg federal court magistrate with attempt to kill the president of the United States or members of his staff. Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez was accused of having fired two shots at the White House’s living quarters where the president of the United States lives.

The shots were said to have been fired last week and cracked a window at the White House. Ortega-Hernandez was apprehended on Wednesday in a Pennsylvania hotel.

He will be taken to the capital of the nation, where he is expected to face charges in a local court. He will remain in federal custody until then.

Ortega, a 2-year-old, is said to have been obsessed with Obama for a long time. Last Friday he drove his car within view of the White House, and then fired his shots of an assault riffle. The president of the United States was not home at the moment.

Ortega abandoned the car afterwards under a bridge with the riffle in it, which is how the police was able to trace him. He was arrested after a desk clerk in the hotel recognized his picture. The family had declared him missing since October 31.

Police report that the man acts under the impression of some sort of divine mandate to kill Obama. He told them he hated Obama, and the American society, and that God had sent him to kill the president.

The White House has not mentioned whether the presidential daughter were there when the incident occurred. It is said that the window was cracked at the Yellow Oval Room.

Ortega has a criminal record in three states, with accusations ranging from domestic violence, drug charges and assault of police officers. Still, he has no link with radical organizations. If he is found guilty, Ortega faces up to life in prison.11
