At the beginning of a construction project many things can go wrong. The person who starts the project might have a thing in mind, but by the end, the outcome might be completely different. There were many instances when the construction projects went wrong, because there are many things one needs to take in consideration when he attempts to build something.
On the other hand there are some people who seem to have made the worst decision even from the start. Here are the worst and strangest construction projects.
In most of the cases the innocent and private construction projects seem to take a turn for the worse. Digging a single hole for a flower might result in the destruction of an entire lawn. The resident from Russia resulted in a 43.9-meter homemade skyscraper that became very obvious in the neighborhood. The castle did not manage to stay for too long as local building code stipulates that no wooden structure can be higher than two floors. The building was destroyed in 2008, and the king remained without his castle.
Ryugyong Hotel is considered to be the ugliest hotel in the world. This monster creation was built in North Korea, and it was never put to use. It has 105 stories and 3,000 rooms, but no one has ever lived in it. The construction began in 1987 but it was stopped in 1990 because the funding for the hotel got depleted. The hotel was built in the city of Pyongyang, and it is impossible to miss. The building has a very strange shape, resembling a rocket which is about to take off, or a fortress which the main villain of a movie would use. It has been stated that the building will be finished in the immediate future, but the problem is that it has suffered lots of damage over time.
The Mirny Diamond Mine is a very interesting creation. It is not the largest diamond mine in the world, as that award goes to the United States’ Bingham Mine, but it is placed in the worst possible position ever. If the Bingham Mine is placed in the desert, where it should be placed, the Mirny Mine is located in the center of the city of Mirny. It was very difficult to perform the operation of creating the pit, as the temperatures during the winter were very low, and during the summer the landscape turned into mud. The hole is 525 meters deep and 1,250 meters wide. Because of that the planes can not fly above it, as they might be sucked in.
The Cerne Abbas Rude Man is one of the strangest constructions in the world. The Rude Man, which was created in Dorset, England, is 54.9 meters tall. Why is it rude? It is unknown why he was created and it is unknown what he is. Some say that he is a representation of a Celtic God whereas others say that he is a representation of Hercules. Nowadays he is the property of the National Trust and they make sure that the construction is well maintained.
The Jukkasjä rvi Ice Hotel is weird but in a good way. This hotel is built almost entirely out of ice. Every year the people, who are constructing it, take ice from the Torne river. The hotel manages not to melt because the temperatures are very low. The temperatures inside the hotel are close to 23 degrees, and the people must rely on reindeer skins and other items in order not to be cold. Fire is a no, no in that place.
Henry Ford had lots of great ideas, but he also had some ideas that were really bad. One of his worst is the city of Fordlândia, which he constructed in the Brazilian jungle. He designed the town with the task of transplanting the American culture into Brazil and of being closer to the desired supplies. Things went bad, as the place is very difficult to live in, being full of malaria-transmitting mosquitoes. He did not hire a botanist before he decided to construct the city, and as a result the entire structure was destroyed because the soil was not able to sustain it.

So she did, and the result was very strange. The house has 160 rooms, and stairs go to nowhere, doors open into walls, windows are placed on the ceiling, and so on.
Dubai is the location where many strange projects are created, and one of the strangest is The World Archipelago. Initially the project was supposed to contain 300 private islands, each representing a country of the world. It has been said that most of them were sold, lots of celebrities buying one. However, the latest news has revealed the fact that the sandy artificial islands are sinking back into the ocean. If that is the case, this is one of the worst projects ever created.
