The talks about the fact that Barack Obama was born outside the national territory of the United States can lay to rest now that the White House published the full birth certificate of the incumbent president of the United States, who already announced his desire to run for another term in 2012.

In a blog post, a spokesman for the White House announced that the controversy over the place of birth of the president was creating distraction, and thus in order for all speculation to stop the decision was made to release the document.

Thus, the president asked his staff to investigate the possibility of releasing the long form of the birth certificate, then he asked the Hawaii Health Department to make an exception and publish the long form.

By it, the Hawaii’s Department of Health confirms that the president was born in the United States, and consequently is eligible for presidency.

At a press conference on Wednesday, president Barack Obama said he did not want to spend more time answering the “silliness” created around his birth place, adding he had more important things to do.

Rumors that the president of the Unites States was born in Nigeria or in Malaysia began to circulate from the first days of his presidency, or even before that, many contesting his right to compete for the highest office on the ground of constitutional provision that stipulates that the contender for the presidency must be born in America.11
