Bunyip is a creature from Australia and New Zealand, which is surprising as they are far away from each other. This creature comes from the Aboriginal mythology, and it is said that it likes to stay in the water, whether if it is in swamps, creeks, riverbeds, and so on. The creature has an odd appearance, as it has been described as a starfish which walks on land. Some have said that it has the face of a dog, the tail of a horse, and very dark fur. There were some who have stated that the creature has tusks similar to the ones of a walrus. The first time when this creature was seen was in 1845.

It was described as a mixture between an alligator and a bird, having the head of an emu and the body of an alligator. Its back legs are very thick and strong, and its front legs are long but strong as well. It has very sharp claws, but it does not use them to kill the prey. It hugs the prey to death, similar to the manner in which some of the snakes kill their prey as well. It can swim and run very fast.
Yeti is a monster similar to Bigfoot, the famous creatures which roams through the woods of the United States of America. It seems that this monster likes to roam around the mountains of Tibet and Nepal, as these two are the places where it has been observed the most often. The monster is also known under the name of The Abominable Snowman, and like I said, from a physical point of view it resembles Bigfoot a lot. It is tall and well built, similar to an ape, the only difference being that it has a white fur instead of a brownish one. The reason for that is to blend in with the environment.

Maybe this is the reason why no one managed to film it. The creature was first mentioned in 1832, when a famous trekker stated that it saw an ape-like creature which had white fur. The sightings increased in the 20th and 21st century, the last mention being made in 2008.
The reports about Owlman have started in Mawnan, Cornwall in the year 1976. The first time when the creature was sighted was on April 17. The creature was seen hovering over the local church and needles to say the people were terrified by it. The creature was seen for many years and every time it was seen around the same church. In 1995 the reports of the Owlman stopped at once. It has a very interesting appearance like most of the creatures from this list. It has the head of an owl, hence the name, but it has the shape and the size of a human body. It has red eyes, and very pointy claws.

It resembles the more famous Mothman which has even been presented in a movie starring Richard Gere. It has been said that there was an UFO crash in the area right before the appearance of the Owlman in the area. That happened in the case of the Mothman as well.
This creature comes from the Phillipines and it sucks the blood of its victims. However, it should not be mistaken for a vampire, because unlike a vampire, this creature sucks the blood from the shadow of the victims. Yes, I know, it doesn’t make too much sense. This creature walks backwards, always keeping its head between its hind legs. The Sigbin can become invisible when it faces humans as well as other creatures as well. Some say that this creature looks like a goat which has no horns, and that it can use its tongue as a whip, and very large ears which it can use in order to clap. The creature can also be recognized through its awful odor which can be sensed from a very large distance.

There are different ways in which the creature is described, and the description differs from region to region. Besides the goat-like appearance, it has been said that it looks like a reptilian crow, it you can imagine such a thing, or as the more famous monster, the Chupacabra. Its appearance makes it very scary, and the fact that it walks backwards makes it even worse. It is said that they usually roam during the night and that they are in the search of children, as they eat them but keep only their hearts. In 2005 the scientists from Borneo have discovered an animal which resembled the Sigbin, as it had its hind legs smaller than the front ones, but it was discovered that the creature was actually a feline, and not the mythical creature described here.
I have to say that the Minotaur and the Goat Man look pretty much the same, in the sense that they are both hybrids between goats and humans. There are numerous people who swore that this creature is true, as they have seen it with their own eyes. Of course, this is what everyone would say, as they would not admit that they have lied. It seems that the Minotaur first appeared in 1967 in the area of Upper Marlboro in Prince George’s County.

The beast was then seen five years later in 1970 and this time it was stated that it killed more than 20 people. There was one survivor, or at least so it is said, stated that the Minotaur used an axe in order to chop off its victims. It seems that these creatures have an affinity for the axes. Maybe they got their inspiration from the slasher films. That witness, who wanted to remain anonymous, stated that the Minotaur made terrible noises, which only the devil would make.
What do you think; are these monsters real? Which of them sounds the most plausible?11

I am reading the Dulce book, and it made me think of some of the strange creatures people people swear they see. Read it and you will know what I am saying…
