On Thursday the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez broke all the relations with Colombia on the motive that Colombia is supporting guerilla movement and that the president of Colombia is trying to start a war. Because the officials of Colombia say that Chavez didn’t act against the leftist rebels who are stationed in Venezuela, the President Chavez broke all the diplomatic relations with Colombia. The Colombian Ambassador Luis Alfonso Hoyos took part of a meeting of the Organization of American States which took place in Washington where he presented solid evidence of the presence of leftist cultist in Venezuela and insisted that international observers should enter Venezuela and see if the information is accurate.

President Chavez didn’t respond to the request of the Colombian government.

At the meeting from Washington the ambassador Hoyos presented evidence, photos and satellite images of almost 1500 rebels.

Alvaro Uribe president of Colombia asked Venezuela for help, in a matter that concern the both countries, to prevent the rebels to cross the border into Venezuelan territory. He said with confidence that in Venezuela some leaders of the leftist rebels are hiding.

“We have the right to demand that Venezuela doesn’t hide those wanted by Colombia,” said Ambassador Hoyos, trying to convince the OAS of the problem.

After the four hour presentation in Washington, Secretary General Jose Miguel of the OAS said to the press that couldn’t start an investigation without Venezuela’s approval.

The Venezuela embassy in Bogota was closed and the ambassador from Caracas will leave the country in 72 hours, said the Foreign Minister of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro.

President Uribe “has put political and economic relations into a hole,”said Maduro.
Venezuela is turning to an alternative protest, he gave information that the military will interfere to guarantee the domination of the Venezuela’s airspace.

Roy Chaderton the representative member of Venezuela in the OAS said that the footage that Hoyos presented were not concluding and didn’t show exactly that in Venezuela are leftist rebels.

Chavez accused the president of Columbia of forgery saying that the photos are false and saying that he would be capable of anything.

The president of Venezuela also said thtat Uribe wants to wage war on Venezuela until his time is up as the head of state. The president of Colombia would have to leave the position next month.

Hugo Chavez said “Uribe is even capable of setting up a fake camp in one of the jungles on the Venezuelan side to attack it, bomb it and bring about a war between Colombia and Venezuela,”

The Venezuelan leader said in the past that the US is using Colombia to make him a terrorist helper and to bring the military forces into Venezuela.

The rebels have made camps in Tachira, Barinas, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Zulia, Apure and Aragua, non populated areas. The guerillas are left alone by the security forces, said from the Copei opposition party, Luis Carlos Solorzano.

“We have a government that shelters and protects Colombian guerrillas,”
