You are probably aware of the fact that the world is going through some climate changes such as global warming. You might also know the effects of these changes, such as melting ice caps, raising sea levels, rising temperatures, and so on. What you might not know is the fact that the global warming has other side effects as well and many of them have already begun. Continue reading if you want to find out more about them.

One of the changes which occurred because of the global warming is the severity of the allergies. Do you often have sneeze attacks and itchy eyes each spring? I am sorry to tell you, but they are the result of global warming and the chances for them to stop are very low. More and more people are complaining that they have started suffering from asthma and seasonal allergies, even though they have never had these problems before. The pollutants are to blame, as they weaken the immunity system and as a result we have higher chances of getting allergies. The plants release way more pollen than before and the main reason for that are the increased carbon dioxide levels.

Many of the animals have been and still are affected by the global warming. Many of them run uphill in order to escape from the effects of the global warming. Their habitats have been affected by the global warming, and as a result they had to change their locations. The problem is affecting many kinds of animals such as chipmunks, squirrels, mice, and even polar bears.

The Arctic is going through a melting process, and as you can imagine, that is not good for the animals which are located in the area. However, the animals are not the only ones to suffer because of the melting process, as the plants have to suffer as well. The Arctic plants usually remain trapped in the ice for a very long period of time until the ice melts. Since the ice melts way faster because of the global warming, they want to start growing faster. The photosynthesis product chlorophyll can be found in higher levels in the more recent soils than in the older ones.

In the past 30 or 40 years more than 125 Arctic lakes have disappeared. These events proved the theory that the global warming is more intense in the Pole regions than in other places on Earth. It is believed that the main reason why the lakes simply disappeared is because the permafrost underneath the lakes thawed out. Because of that the water could have infiltrated the soil and, just like the water from a bathtub would go down the drain. Global warming is literally “pulling the plug” on the lakes from that area. The ecosystems which are present in the lake are also gone when the lake disappears.

The layers of the soil are thawing as well, and because of that, many of the structures which are located on Earth might be destroyed. Railroad tracks, houses, and highways might all be destroyed because of the modifications which occur on the soil. Mudslides and rockslides could also occur at a higher frequency it the thawing occurs up in the mountains. Old diseases might reaper since the corpses might be thawed as well.

The global warming really is an opportunity for the best of the species to prove themselves. The birds might have to suffer a lot from the process of global warming, because the flowers will bloom way faster than usual. If they will wait until the usual time to migrate, then they might die, as they might run out of food if some birds decided to migrate faster than usual. The birds usually transmit their genetic information to their offspring, which means that if they manage to migrate earlier, their offspring will have higher chances of surviving, and so on.

The outer space is affected by the global warming as well. The carbon dioxide emissions can influence the atmosphere in a weird way. The satellites are slowed down by the atmosphere, and if the dioxide emissions are high, then the satellites will not have the necessary friction and they will travel at higher speeds. That can prove to be a problem here on earth as well because it is believed that the atmosphere will not be able to protect the earth as well as it normally would.

The mountains have been affected by the global warming as well. Numerous mountain ranges have experienced a gradual growth spurt in the past century and the reason for that is the fact that the glaciers have melted. The glaciers have represented a weight for the mountain, and they have constantly pushed the mountain towards earth. Because of that the mountains depressed, and as a result the growth of the mountains has been slowed down. Since the glaciers have melted, they no longer impose a problem for the mountains when it comes to growing and as a result they can grow faster.

Many ancient ruins and buildings have stood the test of time. The reason for their longevity has been the fact that they have had perfect condition in order to survive. Because of the global warming they might get destroyed very fast. Extreme weather and raising seas could all affect these structures. Sukhothai, which was once the capital of a Thai kingdom has already been affected by floods and by extreme weather.

The global warming is the main cause for the forest fires. The rise in temperatures can cause hurricanes and other events, but the forest fires are the most damaging for the environment. Russia is suffering from the forest fires for the first time in history, and it seems that they will happen again in the following year as well. It is believed that the temperatures will get higher and higher in the future and as a result such incidents will be common in the years to come. Who knows what will happen next?11
