Wesley Snipes To Begin Jail Sentence

Wesley Snipes will have to begin his three years jail sentence
Actor Wesley Snipes was ordered to serve three year jail sentence for failing to file income tax returns. The judge decided on Friday that Snipes has to begin his jail sentence immediately.
Wesley Snipes was ordered to report to prison, and although it wasn’t clear at first when he will have to do so, according to Reuters, the actor was asked to immediately start serving his jail sentence. Anyway, according to his lawyer, when Snipes found about the judge’s decision he was very disappointed. The actor wasn’t present in court when the ruling was made.
But, Daniel Meachum, Wesley Snipes’ lawyer said that the actor found the ruling shocking, but however he remains “strong and positive.” And although Snipes found the news shocking, this was actually the second time when he lost a trial in this case. The case dates back in 2008 when the actor was found guilty of “willful failure to file tax returns” for 1999 through 2001 and Snipes had already lost an appeal. It was reported that the actor earned more than $38 million since 1999, but he filed no tax returns and paid no taxes. And after losing his July appeal, Snipes was ordered to turn himself in to the police until September 2, but was allowed to remain free until this month hearing. Snipes’ lawyer asked for a new trail, but the request was rejected by Judge Hodges, who said that the actor has already had a fair trail. “The time has come for the judgment to be enforced.”
Well, when it comes to his prison sentence is not clear where will Snipes be sent, but it seems that it won’t be in Florida. The 48 years old actor was sentenced on tax evasion charges and will spend three years in jail. He was until now free no bail, after more serious conspiracy and fraud charges against him were dropped.
