I guess everyone knows those emails where you are asked to send them further, to help a person or simply because you want not to have 7 years of bad luck or if you want to win 10000 dollars in cash.

Old fashioned cons like the chain letter have gained new life in cyberspace. Instead of the creator sending out dozens of letters, they can send out thousands of emails at a time with very little cost. They have become very sophisticated and convincing. Take a look at this:

Make 10000 dollars in the next two weeks:

There are three addresses listed below. Send the person at the top of the list a 5 dollar bill wrapped in two pieces of paper (to securely hide it), along with a note that says: “Please add me to your mailing list”. Then delete the name, move the other two up and put your name at the bottom. Now start sending this entire email back out to people. So 20 people will receive it and move your name to the middle position. That totals 400 people will receive this letter with your name in the middle.

Then, those 400 people will move your name up to the top and they will each send out 20 emails. That totals 8000 people that will receive this email with your name at the top and they will each send you a 5 dollar bill. 8000 people each sending you a 5 dollar bill = 40000 dollars cash. That’s if everyone responds to this email, but not everyone will, so you can expect more realistically to recive about 10000 dollars cash in 5 dollar bills in your mailbox.

This will work for anyone, anywhere in the world in any country, but send only a US CASH 5 dollar bill. The more emails you send, the more cash you will receive. If each person send out 100 emails, there will be 1000000 people that receive this letter when your name reaches the top. If only 1% of those people respond, you will still get 50000 dollars in cash.

When your name reaches the top in a few days, you will start receiving 5 dollar bills from other people just like yourself, who are willing to invest a 5 dollar bill to receive 10000 dollars in cash.

There is nothing that motivates people more than money for nothing and cheques for free. Perhaps you wouldn’t fall for it (would you), but plenty do.11
