Windows 8 Strikes

Just like you may already know, the new Windows, the 8, is already announced. All the Windows users are really ecstatic, but at the same time they show to be a little bit skeptical. Why? Well, because the new system has to be more than just a simple update to the previous versions already known.

The big news is that this Tuesday, Microsoft has talked a little bit more about its product, unveiling it for the first time in such a way, in a conference in Los Angeles. The differences that have been seen are not too big, because the product respects the same line as the previous OS, the Windows 7. It is still an operating system that can be used on laptops, tablets and desktops with absolutely no problem; it is able to handle the touchscreen web browsing, it allows the photo manipulation and other stuff that users were used with, at its “senior” version.

It can also be observed the fact that the interface looks really similar with the one of the Windows 7, not having too many features changed. This can be an advantage, but it can be also a disadvantage because some users may think that there are no improvements made in order to make it better.

Because no such event remains unspoken, the reactions were huge, especially on Twitter, where people have talked a lot about the way in which this new Microsoft OS has been presented at the conference. Some of them were pleased about the new product, hoping that it will bring considerable improvements to the last version, while others were not that satisfied, because they expected something more from this new release.

They said that it is almost the same, so where are the changes? Of course that it will look a lot different maybe when it is going to be released in the final form, but the first reactions weren’t expected to be that many. This can be considered a good thing, because this means that there are really lots of peoples that are using this operating system, be it on tablets, desktops or laptops.

The product will be officially on the market in 2012, but even so, there are lots of question marks. How will it look like? Is it really going to solve the problems that the 7 had? Or is just a new product with same features?

These questions will be answered only when the product is going to be on the market, because until then we can only make speculations.11
